Special Issue: High-Performance Computing for Mathematical Problems
High-Performance Computing (HPC) has made significant progress in addressing mathematical problems that require high computational time and in enhancing the accuracy of the approximation solution. On the other hand, it is still challenging to design algorithms that are both exact and can handle large-scale data. This special issue aims to bring together cutting-edge research that explores the intersection of mathematics and HPC. Furthermore, this issue deals with looking for new algorithms that depend on using HPC to solve mathematical problems more quickly and more accurately and in a way that works for large-scale applications on various types of parallel systems, such as multicore systems, graphic processing units (GPUs), and distributed systems.
The special issue accepts both theoretical and experimental studies for using HPC in solving mathematical problems. The special issue accepts original research articles and review papers in (but not limited to) the following areas:
•Parallel and distributed algorithms for mathematical computations.
•Complexity analysis for parallel solution.
•Optimizing mathematical solutions using HPC.
•Develop a high-performance package/software for a mathematical problem.
•Parallel heuristic/approximate solutions for mathematical problems.
•Performance analysis for parallel/distributed solutions experimentally on various types of parallel systems.
•Enhance the parallel solution from different aspects such as load balancing, energy, and scalability.
•Benchmarking and performance evaluations of HPC solutions in Mathematics.
•Case studies highlighting the impact of HPC in groundbreaking mathematical conjectures.
All manuscripts submitted to the Special Issue will follow the same rigorous peer-review process as regular submissions and will be published in regular issues of CM.
