Engineering Science & Technology (EST) Announces New Editor-in-Chief

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Prof. Hamid Reza Karimi as the new Editor-in-Chief of Engineering Science & Technology (EST), effective March 27, 2025.

 

Prof. Min-Shiang Hwang, our immediate past Editor-in-Chief, has stepped down following his distinguished tenure and retirement. We extend our sincere gratitude for his exceptional leadership and contributions in establishing EST as a respected platform for engineering research.

 

About Prof. Karimi

Prof. Karimi serves as Professor of Applied Mechanics at Politecnico di Milano, Italy, and Honorary Visiting Professor at the University of Huddersfield, UK. A globally recognized expert in control systems, robotics, and intelligent automation, his pioneering work has advanced applications in wind energy, automotive systems, and mechatronics.

His distinguished achievements include:

- Elected Member of Academia Europaea (MAE) and multiple prestigious academies

- Recipient of the 2021 BINDT CM Innovation Award, IEEE Guillemin-Cauer Best Paper Award (2020), and Web of Science Highly Cited Researcher recognition

- Active leadership as keynote speaker and conference chair at major international forums

 

Under Prof. Karimi's guidance, EST will:

- Accelerate publication processes while maintaining rigorous standards

- Expand interdisciplinary collaborations in emerging engineering fields

- Strengthen global visibility through strategic indexing initiatives
