Special issue: Recent progress and application exploration of anti-icing and de-icing coating technology

2024-09-10

With the frequent occurrence of extreme weather events brought about by global climate change, anti-icing and de-icing technologies have become the key to ensuring stable operation in the fields of transport, energy supply and building structure safety. As a prospective solution, anti-icing and de-icing coatings are gradually demonstrating their unique advantages and wide application prospects. These coatings effectively reduce or eliminate the adhesion of ice on surfaces through specific physical, chemical or material science mechanisms, thus ensuring the normal operation of facilities.

In order to gather global wisdom and jointly promote the innovation and development of anti-icing and de-icing coating technology, hereby we invite scholars, researchers and industry experts to submit articles. We invite you to share your latest research results, technological innovations, application practices or future perspectives in the field of anti-icing and de-icing coatings, and to discuss the challenges and opportunities in this field.

Topics to be covered:

Functional surfaces and coatings

Surface engineering and functionalization

Surface modification

Research and development of photothermal conversion materials

Design and preparation of anti-icing and de-icing coatings

Research on anti-icing and de-icing mechanisms

Surface Science for Energy Conversion and Storage
