Professor Ahmed Abu-Siada Appointed Founding Editor-in-Chief for JEEE

We are pleased to announce that Prof. Ahmed Abu-Siada has been appointed Editor-in-Chief for Journal of Electronics and Electrical Engineering (JEEE)

 

A. Abu-Siada (M’07, SM’12) received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Ain Shams University, Egypt and his PhD degree from Curtin University, Australia, all in Electrical Engineering. Currently he is a professor and head of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Discipline at Curtin University. His research interests include power system stability, condition monitoring, power electronics and power quality.

 

He has served as General Chair of the 2022 IEEE Sustainable Power and Energy Conference (iSPEC) and the 2018 International Conference on Condition Monitoring and Diagnosis, Technical Program Chair of 2020 IEEE Conf. on Applied Superconductivity and Electromagnetic Devices, Technical Program & Finance Chair of 2021 Australasian Universities Power Engineering Conference, and technical and advisory chair for other international conferences. He has been the Chair of International Steering & Advisory Committees, Condition Monitoring, and Diagnosis Conference since 2018 and served as the Chair of IEEE Western Australia Section in 2021.

 

He is the founding Editor-in-Chief of the Electrical, and Electronics Engineering International Journal, Associate Editor for Technology and Economics of Smart Grids and Sustainable Energy Journal, Energy Engineering, INTEK Journal. He has served as Editor for Canadian Energy Science and Technology Journal, International Journal of Engineering and Technology, Asia-Pacific Journal of Advanced Research in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Communications in Science and Technology International Journal, Yanbu Journal of Engineering and Science, Energies (MDPI), Automation (MDPI), Electronics (MDPI), Machines (MDPI) and a subject editor for IET Generation, Transmission & Distribution. He has published more than 300 papers, books and book chapters in his field of research.
