Special Issue: Fractals, Fractionals and Partial Differential Equations
Overview
This special issue focuses on problems dealing with fractals, fractional calculus, partial differential equations (PDEs) and the intersection and relationship between these three mathematical areas. It probably explores how fractal geometry and fractional derivatives can be used to model and solve PDEs, potentially paving the way for new perspectives and applications in various scientific and engineering fields. The special issue might cover topics such as fractional PDEs, fractal domains, practical applications in areas like diffusion, wave propagation, image processing, and material sciences, as well as the development of numerical methods for solving fractional PDEs and complex problems.
Scope of the Special Issue
We welcome submissions in (but not limited to) the following areas:
- Fractal geometry applications in solving partial differential equations.
- Fractional calculus methods for modeling complex systems and phenomena.
- Integration of fractals and fractional calculus in numerical simulations of physical processes.
- Fractal and fractional approaches in image processing and analysis.
- Applications of fractional differential equations in signal processing and communication systems.
- Multiscale modeling using fractal and fractional techniques.
- Fractional-order systems in control theory and engineering.
