The Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Office of Food Science and Engineering (FSE) have retracted the following article:
Özçil İhsan E. Determination of Neophobia Levels of Students Studying in Gastronomy Departments of Higher Education Institutions in Northern Cyprus. Food Science and Engineering. 2024; 5(2): 348-357.
Following a journal-wide investigation, it was identified that this article falls outside the scope of the journal and does not align with the thematic focus or subject matter requirements as outlined by the journal's editorial policies. Additionally, the article lacks sufficient quantitative data to support the claims made in the abstract and conclusions.
The editorial office regrets that the usual quality checks did not identify these issues before publication and has since put additional measures in place to safeguard research integrity.
We acknowledge the contributions of our internal teams and external experts to this investigation.
The corresponding author, as the representative of all authors, has been given the opportunity to register their agreement or disagreement to this retraction. We have kept a record of any response received.
